This is an isolated beach in the Konkan region. The beach is a drive of 15 kms from Ratnagiri via the village of Nevare. It is a long beach with a length of about 4 kms. It makes for a perfect spot for a weekend getaway. Surrounding the beach is a dense and beautiful plantation of Suru trees. Many celebrities have land properties in this area. Although not much of an attraction at present, this beach will gain popularity in near future.
Atulit Bal Dham:
As the name suggests, this is a holy place and is managed by the Sadguru Upasana Trust in Mumbai. It is situated at TRP, right beside the petrol pump, about 1 km from the main road of Ratnagiri. The deity in this Dham is PANCHAMUKHI HANUMAN. The experience of hundreds of devotees is that they get ‘bal’ (mental, physical and spiritual power) post the visit to this Dham. The area is of about 2 acres and is enchantingly beautiful, natural and blissful.
Bhatye is the largest town in Konkan district and one of the closest suburbs of Ratnagiri. An amazing beach in the backdrop of the Sahyadri mountain ranges offers a panoramic view of the natural surroundings. Jaigad Lighthouse, Ganapatipule:
The light house was made in the year 1822. This Lighthouse is located in one of the bastions. The bastion is known as the Siddha Buruj, and the lighthouse is still operational. It is situated at the Jaigad Fort’s western edge. The lighthouse is simply spectacular and has stood here for many years.
